The 2014 Annual Barbourville Christmas Tour of Homes

Sunday, December 7th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  for the 2014 Annual Christmas Tour of Homes in Barbourville. Tickets may be purchased  the day of the event at the Barbourville & Knox County Visitor Center, 117 High Street, Barbourville, KY. With the purchase of a $10.00 ticket you will be eligible to win a beautiful Christmas Wreath valued at $200.00  We have an exciting line up of homes and other  locations for your enjoyment again  this year.  For more information about the Barbourville Christmas Tour of Homes call 606-627-7990 or 545-3521. December City Council Meeting

The Barbourville City Mayor and Council regular scheduled Council Meeting will be on Thursday December 4th at 6 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Daniel Boone Drive Bridge update

Daniel Boone Drive bridge construction update: According to Sherri Chapel with the Ky. Dept of Transportation the bridge should be open to traffic by October 8th, with the entire project being completed by October 24th.

4th Of July Events

Car Show – Softball Field 5pm
Live Music throughout the evening
Fireworks 9:45 pm

The Barbourville Water Park will also be open all day for your enjoyment!

Town Hall meeting

Mayor Darren West announced last week a  Town Hall meeting for the City of Barbourville Monday, May 19, 2014 at 7 p.m. in community room of Forcht Bank on Knox Street.

“Council meetings are great, but we want to reach more residents of our City, to update, to get feedback, and take suggestions. Thank you Forcht Group of Kentucky for hosting this. Hope to see you there,” said Mayor West.
