The Barbourville City Mayor and Council regular scheduled Council Meeting will be on Thursday April 9th at 6 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The City of Barbourville will be having a summer softball league if enough interest is shown. The entry fee will be $250 per team. All interested parties should contact the City Clerk’s office at 196 Daniel Boone Drive, Phone: (606)546-6197.

The City of Barbourville will be accepting applications for the positions of: Lifeguards, Concession Workers, & Maintenance Workers for the Barbourville Water Park.
Applications can be picked up at the Barbourville City Clerk’s Office, 196 Daniel Boone Dr., Barbourville, Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
All applicants must be 16 years of age. Lifeguard applicants must become lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certified.
Deadline for applications is Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

Wheeling, West Virginia, December 3, 2014 – Eight Appalachian communities were among the 26 communities announced today by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and Delta Regional Authority (DRA) to receive technical support to integrate local food systems into community economic development action plans.
